Taskfeed Board Type Overview
A Board Type helps to identify and report on the kind of business process associated with each Board. Taskfeed comes with two Board types out-of-box: Project and Team, which can be relabeled to best describe your team's projects.
Taskfeed Board Type, now available in Taskfeed Version 15, introduces a single layout to assign multiple options that will define your Taskfeed Board.
Taskfeed Admins can define the following options for each Board Type:
Default Task Template for each Board Type
Board Process (with its own set of stages)
Board Record Type (use API associated to the record type name)
Board Queue name (use API associated to the queue name)
Board Field Set - a fieldset unique to the Board Type can be created in Taskfeed Board and will add an additional set of fields to the Taskfeed Board edit pop-up window
Task Field Set - a fieldset unique to the Board Type can be created in Taskfeed Task and will add an additional set of fields to the Taskfeed Board edit pop-up
Setting Up a New Board Type Record
⚠️ Before creating a new “Board Type” first make sure the value exists within the Taskfeed Board object. For example “Customer Onboarding”. In addition, must make sure the Board Type value is identical (Label and API Name).
Select Taskfeed Board Type tab on the navigation bar or through Salesforce App Launcher.
To view or update any preexisting Board Types select “All” list view
To create a new type click New
Each Board Type can have its own process, default templates, Board color, Owner Role, etc: Fill in all applicable options for each board type
Make sure the Name of the Taskfeed Board Type is identical to what is displayed under the Taskfeed Board object Picklist Value Type.
